Member Bylaws

Objective and Purpose: The objective and purpose of this Association shall be to coordinate the activities of the member homeowners in promoting the mutual interest of the Association in the community.

Membership: Membership is open to homeowners living within the boundaries of the Naper Carriage Hill subdivision. Members shall be considered in good standing if they are not delinquent in payment of current dues and special assessments. The Naper Carriage Hill Women’s Club (hereafter “Women’s Club”) is considered a member in good standing until such time as written notice is served either by the Women’s Club or the Association terminating such membership. Individual members of the Women’s Club need not also be members of the Association. The Women’s Club shall not have a vote in any of the affairs of the Association except wherein a mutual individual membership exists. There was no Women's Club in 2014 or 2015.

Meetings: The annual meeting of the Association shall be held in autumn of each year at a location selected by the Board in or about Naperville, Illinois. This year it will be  held on October 18, 2015 at 8:00 pm. at Kathy Nash's house.

Special meetings may be called by a majority of the Board of Directors and shall be called upon the presentation of a written petition signed by not less than ten (10) percent of the members in good standing. Members shall be notified by written or printed notice stating the place, day and hour of each meeting, and in case of a special meeting, delivered not less than (5) nor more than forty (40) days before the date of the meeting, either personally or by mail.

Finances and Expenditures: No member of the Association may enter into any contract or execute and deliver any instrument in the name of the Association or bind the Association without specific written authority from the Board of Directors as demonstrated in the minutes of a meeting of the Board of Directors.
